Developers Workshop
The Blockland Solutions Developers Workshop is a certificate program designed to provide foundational level understanding and application of blockchain technology for mid- to senior-level developers. This three-day certificate program begins a day before the Main Conference on Sunday, December 8 at 1pm EST.
The curriculum will offer a blend of didactic and exercise-driven sessions to establish a general understanding of technical blockchain application across select industry verticals (healthcare, manufacturing, and finance) using open source versions of Hyperledger and Ethereum.

Sunday:
Get immersed in the fundamentals of blockchain and the route to standardization as seen by IEEE. PLUS, learn all about smart contracts and what makes them work from the inventor himself, Nick Szabo
Monday:
Dive into the basics of the two most prominent open source blockchain platforms, Hyperledger and Ethereum taught by faculty from Cleveland State University and Cuyahoga Community College
Tuesday:
Choose from one of three blockchain application tracks:
Gaming on ‘Chain
Building Enterprise Solutions with Hyperledger Fabric
Certificate Transparency Executed at Speed
Wednesday:
Integration with main conference agenda in cybersecurity (no coding training)

Blockland Scholarships
The scholarships are intended to support local workforce development efforts and encourage diversity at the conference. Accordingly, in awarding the scholarships, the following will be considered:
Small, Minority-, Women-, LGBTQ-, Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (certification proof required)
Start-up ventures
High school/career center students
Community-college students
Career pathway/rehabilitation program participants
Workshop Requirements
Participants must possess strong IT foundational skills, including:
Common Languages | Fluid application of common coding languages and platforms (C#, Java, C++, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or NodeJS)
Blockchain Libraries | Familiarity with ethereum frameworks, such as Solidity
Version Control | Experience with version control, such as Git
Data Structures | Solid understanding of Arrays, HashMaps, Linked Lists, Trees, Stacks, and Queues
Databases | Solid understanding of both flat and relational databases
